He was born in 1962 in the district of Erzurum in Aşkale. He completed his primary and secondary education here. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University Sakarya Engineering Faculty Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1985, In 1986, he started to work as a research assistant at Atatürk University Engineering Faculty Department of Mechanical Engineering and Thermodynamics Department.
