Ey\u00fcp Kemerlio\u011flu, 1988\u2019den itibaren \u00fcstlenmi\u015f oldu\u011fu b\u00f6l\u00fcm ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6revini 1994 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar s\u00fcrd\u00fcrm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr. Kemerlio\u011flu\u2019ndan sonra b\u00f6l\u00fcm ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6revi 2006 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar Sabahattin G\u00fcll\u00fcl\u00fc taraf\u0131ndan, sonras\u0131nda ise H\u00fcseyin Aky\u00fcz taraf\u0131ndan 2011 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar devam ettirilmi\u015ftir. H\u00fcseyin Aky\u00fcz&#8217;\u00fcn emeklili\u011fi ile bo\u015falan b\u00f6l\u00fcm ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131na s\u0131ras\u0131yla Y\u0131ld\u0131z Akpolat, Mevl\u00fct \u00d6zben, Nuray Karaca ve yeniden Mevl\u00fct \u00d6zben atanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Mevl\u00fct \u00d6zben, halen b\u00f6l\u00fcm ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6revini s\u00fcrd\u00fcrmektedir. Kurulu\u015f y\u0131l\u0131 itibariyle lisans ve lisans\u00fcst\u00fc e\u011fitim faaliyetlerine ba\u015flayan Sosyoloji B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc, 1997-1998 y\u0131l\u0131nda ikinci \u00f6\u011fretime \u00f6\u011frenci kabul etmeye ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.
