"Atatürk University Health Sciences Institute Orpheus Consultancy Workshop", which was held in cooperation with Atatürk University Health Sciences Institute and Teaching and Learning Development Application and Research Center (ATAÖGEM), Assistant Director of Health Sciences Institute under the chairmanship of Assoc. Dr. Mehtap Kavurmacı was held on May 22, 2021 with 396 registered participants and 300 online participants. As the number of participants exceeded the zoom quota due to the intense interest in the workshop, the entire workshop was recorded in a way that can be watched over time.
ORPHEUS (Organisation for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System) is an international institution composed of higher education institutions, aiming to develop and disseminate basic standards and best practices in doctoral education in biomedicine and health sciences, and aiming to raise the standards of qualifications that graduates of doctoral programs will have. is an organization.
The workshop started with the opening speeches of Director of the Institute of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Elif Çadırcı and Atatürk University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sözbilir, invited speakers, ORPHEUS Label Commission Co-Chair Prof. Dr. Gül Güner Akdoğan's "ORPHEUS Good Practices", ORPHEUS Board Member Prof. Dr. Hakan Orer's "Consulting in Graduate Education (Ethical and Administrative Framework)" and continued with ORPHEUS Ambassador to Turkey Prof. Dr. Feyza Arıcıoğlu's sessions on "The Role and Obligations of the Consultant". In the afternoon sessions of the workshop, invited speakers and Prof. Dr. Elif Çadırcı, Prof. Dr. Abdülmecit Albayrak and Assoc. Dr. Case discussions were held under the moderation of Mehtap Kavurmacı. Within the scope of the workshop, a very productive knowledge production was realized with the participation of all Departments, Heads of Departments, Faculty Members and Doctoral Students affiliated to the Institute of Health Sciences. Within the framework of the vision of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, significant gains were made in the field of Quality and Accreditation in Graduate Education.
