UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER WITH CENTRAL POINT

Regulations on “Transferring Between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor, and Interinstitutional Credit Transfer” were discussed and accepted in the meeting held by Executive Board of Higher Education on 08/01/2015 and “Procedures and Principles Regarding Undergraduate Transfer to be held as per Additional Clause 1” were announced on the website of Council of Higher Education

Student candidates preregistering for undergraduate transfer via Student Information System as part of Additional Article 1 are supposed to deliver their required documents together with the preregistration form to the Dean’s office/ directorate they want to enroll within the application deadlines. Applications made out of the deadlines are not going to be put in the process. Undergraduate transfer applications are going to be evaluated by the related departments and announced on their own websites.

Undergraduate transfer procedures to be held as per Additional Article 1:

A- Of the Procedures and Principles Regarding Fall  Applications:

Article 8 includes the provision: “For every diploma programme at higher education institutions each class including preparatory classes provided not exceeding 90,  30% student cuota max. is to be spared regarding Student Selection and Placement system guide. (Alteration date: 28.4.2017 no: 30043 Council of Higher Education (YÖK) article)

Article 10 includes the provision:  The Universities are not supposed to announce any extra quota. The applications are received between August 1 and August 15 incl. before the education term begins; evaluation results of the applications are to be announced before September 10 and the enrollment is to be finished before September 15; students enrolled are to inform the higher education institution they transferred before the end of September.( Alteration date: 28.04.2017 no: 30043 & date:06.06.2017 no: 37697 YÖK articles.)

B - Of the Procedures and Principles Regarding Spring  Applications:

Article 8 includes the provision: “For every diploma programme at higher education institutions each class including preparatory classes provided not exceeding 90, 20% student cuota max.is to be spared regarding Student Selection and Placement system guide. Hereunder, the university senate decision taken on 25.12.2017 with no: 18/153 states that “ the departments of the university carrying out annual educational output (excluding Faculty of Dentistry and Medical Faculty) are supposed to spare 20% student quota for each class of the quota stated in Student Selection and Placement system guide in the related year.

 Article 10 includes the provision: “Only common to the Spring term, university cuotas are to be announced and applications and evaluations are to be held before the term begins.
