ANNOUNCEMENT ON REGISTRATION AND FUNCTION OF POSTGRADUATE PROCESSES DURING THE PANDEMI PERIOD

In the letter of Higher Education Council dated 31.03.2020 and numbered E.24625, “If the students enrolled at the associate, undergraduate and graduate level in higher education institutions demand from the higher education institutions they enrolled in, the registration period is frozen in the spring semester of 2019-2020 academic year. Our Institute students who want to freeze records within the framework of the decision not to count the maximum duration of the period ”should start the registration freezing procedures over OBS during the 2019-20 spring semester course period as stated in the attached" Registration Freezing Operations Help Guide "and they should send it to their corporate email account (sosbil@atauni.edu.tr).

As stated in the letter of the Rector's Office on 10.04.2020 and numbered E.2000103727, the students applying for registration freeze will be informed about the registration freezing process, and the consultants of the students at the thesis stage will be informed and their written approvals will be obtained by the decision of the Institute Administrative Board.

In addition, according to the letter of the Rector's Office dated 10.04.2020 and numbered 2000103679, it was reported that postgraduate activities and exams held during the Pandemic period will be held through remote participation. In this context:

Regulating the processes of the activities and exams to be held through remote participation, Atatürk University Jury has been created by the participation of all participants, regardless of the phrase "provided that the absolute majority of the jury is face to face", as stated in Article 2- (1) of the Directive on Remote Participation and Examinations. it can be done; It was decided that activities such as seminars, doctoral dissertation proposal presentations, doctoral dissertation monitoring committee meeting could be done by remote participation with the support of ATAUZEM, provided that they were recorded under the supervision of the student advisor.
Atatürk University Graduate Education and Training Practice Principles Article 20- (4)
"Proficiency exams are held twice a year in November-December and April-May." As per the provision, it has been decided to postpone the applications for the PhD qualification exams to be held in April-May in the 2019-2020 Spring semester and to hold the exams in June-July for the Pandemic period.
In the cooperation with ATAUZEM and Postgraduate Education Coordinatorship, it was decided to hold master and doctorate thesis defense exams by remote participation within the framework of a calendar, taking into account the application order.
