CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION STUDIES WITH DEPARTMENT MANAGERS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE NEW GENERATION UNIVERSITY DESIGN AND TRANSFORMATION PROJECT
Within the framework of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, within the scope of Cultural Transformation Studies with Department Managers, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, with the participation of the vice-rectors, came together with the Dean of our Faculty of Medicine, the vice deans, the members of the Faculty Board of Directors and the heads of the departments at the meeting held in the Blue Hall of our University on 15.09.2021.
Stating that the vision of the New Generation University is in a stimulating position, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı noted that 19 search conferences have been held so far with the participation of more than 250 external and more than a thousand internal stakeholders. Atatürk University showed a performance targeting the top 500 among the world universities and entering this ranking in many fields, that all of our members have important duties to carry this even higher, and that the success rate of our departments will rise as a result of the cultural transformation efforts. He stated that the contribution of the Faculty of Medicine is very valuable for our University.
Stating that the general data of the university were compiled, both faculty-based analyzes were made and the data were collected specifically for the faculty members, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Keskin, on the other hand, said that new positioning and differentiation strategies have been implemented in 7 layers consisting of the blending of the mission areas of Atatürk University, whose face has changed with the Design and Transformation Project.
Our faculty dean, Prof. Dr. Fatih Albayrak, on the other hand, made a presentation consisting of the activities carried out in our Faculty under the main headings of Education, Research and Contribution to the Society, within the framework of the New Generation University vision. Prof. Dr. Albayrak ended his speech by thanking all healthcare professionals who always work devotedly under very difficult conditions.
The meeting ended with the evaluations of the vice-rectors and faculty members.
