In accordance with the decision number 25 taken by the University Senate at its session dated 12.02.2021; BAP, TÜBİTAK, foreign funding agencies, etc. for the acceptance of doctoral thesis topic proposals to be submitted starting from the 2021-2022 Fall Semester, it is mandatory to be supported by a funding agency within the scope of a scientific research project. Our students who will submit their doctoral thesis topic proposals starting from the 2021-2022 Fall Semester are kindly requested to take this situation into consideration.

Detailed information regarding Graduate Thesis Projects (LUTP) by the Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit (BAP) is stated in detail in the BAP Application Principles. Accordingly, graduate theses are supported only by Graduate Thesis Projects (LUTP). However, as a result of the examinations and evaluations, it was decided that postgraduate thesis studies could also be carried out from other research projects supported by BAP (BTAP, UBAİP, KTAP, ABDEP, DKAP). In addition, more than one graduate student can take part as a researcher in other project types (BTAP, UBAİP, KTAP, ABDEP, DKAP), except for Graduate Thesis Projects (LÜTP), and more than one thesis can be published within the scope of these projects. In this context, the contents of the postgraduate theses must be compatible with the project final report. In addition, the Institute-approved version of the relevant theses must be uploaded to the system as a project output as an attachment to the final report. This decision was taken to facilitate the implementation of faculty members and students, in line with the decision taken by our University senate to conduct project-based doctoral theses.
