OUR INSTITUTE DIRECTOR WAS SELECTED AS A 2020 SCIENTIST BY THE SCIENCE HEROES ASSOCIATION
The Young Scientist Awards organized by the Science Heroes Association found their owners for the ninth time. Young Scientist Awards are hosted by the rectors of different universities every year. The awards to 6 young scientists selected this year were presented at an online ceremony on Tuesday, October 19, at which TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal was present.
As a result of the evaluation made by the selection committee among 124 applications, our Institute Director, Prof. Dr. Elif Çadırcı became one of the 6 winners of the 2020 Young Scientist Awards.
Prof. Dr. Elif Çadırcı completed her doctorate at Atatürk University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Medical Pharmacology. She was awarded the Turkish Pharmacists Association Pharmacy Academy Encouragement Award in 2012, the Turkish Pharmacology Association R. Kazım Türker Young Pharmacologist Encouragement Award in 2013, the Turkish Academy of Sciences Young Scientist Encouragement Award (TÜBA-GEBİP) in 2014, and TÜBİTAK Incentive Award in the Field of Health Sciences in 2020 and Dr. Nejat F.Eczacıbaşı Medical Incentive Award of Medical Awards in 2021.
Prof. Dr. Elif Çadırcı works in the fields of Serotonin 5HT7 and Urotensin, UTR2 Receptors and Physiopathological Roles, Sepsis, Sepsis Physiopathology and New Treatment Strategies, Inflammation and Related Diseases, Gastric Ulcer, Boron Mine and its use in Bone Health.
