The students of this program take theoretical and applied courses of the discipline such as Practical Workshop (Carpet Design, Kilim Design, Old Fabric Repair and Design), Carpet/ Kilim History, Carpet/ Kilim/ Fabric- Weaving Techniques and Applications, Textile Materials, Natural Paints, Fabric Structure Learning and Analysis. They can also take general courses on Tezhip Art, Old Turkish, Turkish Art History and Turkish Traditional Handicrafts History. In addition to these courses, Jewelry Design, Porcelain, Gobelin Tapestry and Marbling classes offer different working atmospheres for the students of this program.
The graduates of this program can works as freelance artists, art consultants at private or public firms, and specialists in libraries and museums. They can also pursue academic career or find employment as instructors of arts classes at higher education institutions
of art.
