Hınıs Vocational College

History

Atatürk University Hınıs Vocational School; The Department of Food Technology, Construction and Aquaculture Health Programs, Animal Breeding and Health Programs were founded in 1998 under the Department of Technical Programs. In the 1999 - 2000 academic year, the Technical Programs Department, Food Technology and Health Programs Department, started education with 12 students who were taken to the Animal Breeding and Health Program. In the 2002-2003 academic year, the Accounting Program was opened under the Department of Economics and Administrative Programs. In the 2008-2009 academic year, the name of the Animal Breeding and Health Program was changed to Veterinary Health Technician. In the 2009-2010 academic year, the name of the Veterinary Health Technician Program was changed to "Laboratorian and Veterinary Health". In 2016, the Food Quality Control and Analysis program, affiliated to the Food Processing Department, was opened, but it was made semi-passive due to the low preference rate. Since there are not enough lecturers in the Department of Construction, no students have been accepted to this program yet. In 2017, Child Care and Youth Services Department was opened and the Child Development Program, which was affiliated to this department started student admissions in the 2018-2019 academic year. At the end of 2018, it was deemed appropriate to open Optician and Medical Laboratory Techniques programs affiliated to the Department of Medical Services, and student admission to the mentioned program started in the 2019-2020 academic year. In 2019, the Department of Pharmacy Services and the Pharmacy Services program affiliated to this department were opened, and student admission to the mentioned program started in the 2019-2020 academic year. Currently, our Vocational School actively continues education with 5 programs.
