The Faculty of Fine Arts at Ataturk University was founded in 1992 and began to accept students in 1994-1995 Academic Year. The school gradually rose to prominence in several disciplines of arts. Each passing year added to the success of the Faculty, and consequently the school acquired its respectable status among the art schools in Turkish
higher education.
The Faculty building developed into a full-fledged complex with near perfect physical infrastructure and 14000 square meters of physical space, which is comprised of classrooms, studios, laboratories, workshops, museums, exhibition and show rooms. The Faculty of Fine Arts at Ataturk University is staffed with an academic personnel of 77 people. The academic staff of instruction and research include 7 Professor, 7 Associate Professors, 30 Dr. Teaching Member, 12 Lecturers, 21 Research Assistants, 1 İnstructors and 1 Academic Specialists. All Departments have Ph. D.
The Faculty’s student acceptance procedure involves a multi-phase process which is based on proficiency in artistic ability. The entrance exams are prepared according to different academic and artistic selection criteria.
