Atatürk University, which is one of the leading educational institutions of our country with its quality education, qualified academic human resources and equipped application units, continues to be approved by various institutions and organizations for its studies carried out in line with the New YÖK (Higher Education Counsil) Vision.

After the application was made following the necessary preparations, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was accepted as a Fully Accredited Faculty by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Veterinary Education Institutions and Programs (VEDEK).

The report prepared after VEDEK's re-evaluation visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, which was accredited for 2 years in the previous years, was discussed at the Veterinary Educational Institutions and Programs Accreditation Committee (VAK) meeting.

At the meeting, it was decided that Atatürk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine would become a Fully Accredited Faculty for 7 years, since it met all the minimum requirements set by VEDEK, and the Accreditation Certificate was delivered to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Stating that they worked hard as a team to re-accredit the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine by VEDEK for 7 years, Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selim Sağlam mentioned that the accreditation process is important in terms of being preferred by the students and then of providing quality education. He thanked Rector Çomaklı for his precious contributions in the course, noting that they are trying to make the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine a brand.

“Works on the international accreditation process are continuing”

Stating that it is pleasing that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, which provides the best service to the Eastern Anatolia Region, one of the most important regions of Turkey in the field of animal husbandry, with its Animal Hospital, has been accredited for 7 years, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that the quality of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was registered with the acquisition of the Accreditation Certificate.

Rector Çomaklı thanked all those who have contributed to the positive outcome of the accreditation process. He also said: “Our faculty continues to work on the international accreditation process not only at home but also abroad. In this context, an application for accreditation was made before the European Union of Veterinary Medical Education Institutions (EAEVE), which is an international accreditation organization and carries out accreditation studies on behalf of the European Union. The first evaluation visit was made to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine by EAEVE in November 2021, and the process was accelerated.”
