SIGNING OF THE COOPERATION PROTOCOL FOR THE PROBATION FIELD
In an effort to address social issues and promote the public interest, Atatürk University has implemented an additional initiative that is dedicated to social responsibility. In this context, a significant protocol was signed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices of Erzurum, Hınıs, and Oltu. This protocol encompasses cooperation in the field of Probation Services.
Educational activities, social responsibility initiatives, awareness-raising activities, and scientific research are intended to be conducted collaboratively within the protocol. Consequently, the process of reintegrating convicted individuals into society will involve the evaluation of academic support and field applications in conjunction.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Chief Public Prosecutor of Erzurum, Adem Aydemir, the Rector of Atatürk University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, and the Chief Public Prosecutor of Hınıs, Yusuf Tuğrul. The protocol's objective is to enhance the university's academic knowledge and human resources in order to provide probation services in a more scientific, effective, and beneficial manner to society.

At the signing ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu underscored the fact that universities are not merely educational and research institutions, but also structures that steer society and contribute to the resolution of social issues. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized the significance of probation practices in the context of social peace and the process of reintegration into society, stating, "By means of these protocols, we fulfill our social responsibility and contribute to public service with the academic potential of our university."
Adem Aydemir, the Chief Public Prosecutor of Erzurum, stated in his speech that such collaborations with universities produce beneficial outcomes for both the individual and society. Aydemir asserted that the implementation of probation measures will be more proficient through the collaboration with Atatürk University.
This action, which is consistent with the mission of Atatürk University to revolutionize society through knowledge, serves as an exemplary illustration of collaboration and solidarity among public institutions.
