EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION FOR YOUTH EMPLOYMENT: 96 STUDENTS STARTED WORKING AT THE CALL CENTER.
An essential measure has been implemented to promote the employment of young people in Erzurum. 96 university students made their first forays into the business world at the call center located within the Atatürk University Open and Distance Education Faculty as part of the İŞKUR Youth Program, which was conducted by the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR).
On June 20, 2025, the protocol was signed, establishing a robust partnership between Atatürk University, Erzurum İŞKUR Provincial Directorate, Global Bilgi, and CCH Call Center. This protocol is designed to facilitate the professional development of young individuals by providing them with the opportunity to acquire both theoretical knowledge and firsthand experience in the field.
The public, university, and private sectors collaborated.
The call center unit was inspected by representatives of the institutions participating in the cooperation when they visited the Atatürk University Open and Distance Education Faculty following the protocol ceremony. The students, who accompanied the delegation, were informed of the project's significance and the work that had been completed.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, underscored the university's commitment to the professional and academic growth of its students in this context. He also observed the following:
"Universities should no longer be institutions that merely transfer knowledge; they should also serve as centers that equip students with the skills necessary for success in the real world." In this context, this initiative, which is implemented in collaboration with İŞKUR, provides our youth with both educational and professional opportunities. In addition to earning money, our students acquire the fundamental principles of professional life, including teamwork, communication skills, and work ethic. I am of the opinion that this paradigm, which involves the integration of the public, university, and private sectors, will also make substantial contributions to the employment policies of our youth.
"Our objective is to disseminate projects of this nature."
Abdulkadir Mutlu, the Provincial Director of Erzurum İŞKUR, declared in his statement that the objective is to disseminate initiatives that will facilitate the employment of young individuals. Mutlu stated, "Our primary objective is to provide university students with an introduction to the working world, enhance their professional skills, and provide them with financial assistance through the Youth Program." We make substantial contributions to our university and our students through this collaboration.
Global Bilgi and CCH Call Center officials also conveyed their satisfaction with the collaboration, stating that they provide a productive and qualified working environment for students.
The doors of professional life are being opened for young people.
The call center, which is presently staffed by 96 students, provides a unique opportunity for young individuals to engage with the professional world and is also recognized as a successful example of public-university-private sector collaboration. Students are able to commence their professional endeavors one step ahead after graduation as a result of the experience they acquire.
