JOURNALS FROM ATATURK UNIVERSITY ARE CONTINUING TO ASCEND IN THE WEB OF SCIENCE.

Every day, Atatürk University's academic journals continue to expand their international successes by publishing new ones. In this context, university journals have made substantial progress in impact factors and rankings, as indicated by the 2024 Web of Science Journal Citation Reports (JCR) data.

 Eurasian Journal of Medicine

 As of 2024, the Eurasian Journal of Medicine, which is ranked within the General Medical Journals category, has achieved an Impact Factor of 1.2. The journal was ranked second among all indexes in the Web of Science and first in the ESCI category. Prof. Dr. Meltem Alkan Melikoğlu, the editor of the journal, and her staff were expressed gratitude for their contributions to this accomplishment.

 Journal of Theological Studies

 The Journal of Theology Studies, which is examined in ESCI in the field of Theology, was previously ranked 239th out of 343 journals worldwide. However, the recently released data has elevated it to 154th out of 337 journals. It was rated second in the Turkish ranking. It is anticipated that the journal will continue to expand with international contributions, as it is scheduled to be published three times annually in 2025. Editor Prof. Dr. Reyhan Keleş and her team have been recognized for their diligent efforts.

 Journal of Insect Biodiversity

 In the discipline of entomology, the Journal of Insect Biodiversity, which is included in the ESCI index, has experienced a consistent increase in its Impact Factor ratio, which is currently 0.6 as of 2024. It is anticipated that the journal will achieve a higher ranking in the 2025 data due to its publication of original and intriguing articles. Editor Prof. Dr. Levent Gültekin and his team were expressed gratitude for their contributions.

 Nursing Journal

 In 2023, the Journal of Nursology, which publishes in the discipline of nursing, increased its Impact Factor ratio from 0.1 to 0.4 in 2024.. The journal is indexed in Scopus and has begun to establish a significant presence in the competitive Nursing category. It is also included in the ESCI. The contribution of Editor Prof. Dr. Nadiye Özer and her team to this development was noteworthy.

 Sanat ve Yorum

 In 2024, the Sanat ve Yorum journal achieved its first Impact Factor ratio of 0.1 after being accepted by Scopus and Web of Science-ESCI. The journal's editor, Prof. Dr. Yunus Berkli, and his team were recognized for their contributions to the scientific community, as they were anticipated to be ranked higher with the data to be announced for 2025.

 Research in the Fields of Sport Education and Science

 The Impact Factor ratio of the Research in Sport Education and Sciences journal, which is the sole journal from Turkey in the field of sports sciences on the Web of Science - ESCI platform, is expected to be disclosed in 2025, according to reports. The journal's editor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Sinan Biricik, and his team were commended for their work, which was anticipated to become one of the most prominent publications in the field within a brief period.

 The last year saw a 70% increase in international author applications to university journals, thanks to the innovative digital infrastructures and scientific publication policies developed by Atatürk University.

 The editors, referees, and authors, who are the fundamental components of these significant accomplishments, as well as the Scientific Journals Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasin Topaloğlu, his assistants Prof. Dr. Fatma Zehra Çakıcı and Prof. Dr. Ogün Coşkun, and the coordination staff who oversaw the entire publication process, were expressed gratitude for their contributions.

 Rector Hacımüftüoğlu: "This Increase in Academic Publishing is a Concrete Indicator of Our Scientific Productivity."

 Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, underscored that the scientific expertise of the institution is evident on a global scale as a result of the accomplishments of university journals on reputable platforms like Web of Science. The following statements were stated by Hacımüftüoğlu in his evaluation:

 "Our academic journals' high rankings in global indices are not merely academic accomplishments; they are also a consequence of our university's sustainable scientific production approach and visionary publication policies." From our editors to our referees, from the authors to the entire team that oversees the publication process, I would like to extend my gratitude to all who have contributed to this accomplishment. Our ethical and quality-oriented approach, which promotes scientific publishing, will allow us to continue to contribute to the advancement of both our country and the global scientific community. Atatürk University will persist in its leadership position in academic publishing, as it does in all other disciplines.
