Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu published a message for November 10th Atatürk Commemoration Day. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu used the following expressions in his message.
❝Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk; is not only a military genius, a great statesman, but also a leader who adopted the goal of contemporary civilization as his principle. Atatürk, who crowned the Turkish nation's struggle for independence and freedom with victory, became the pioneer of an all-out struggle by reviving a collapsing state.
Atatürk's life is full of his endless love for his nation, his sacrifice and determination. He established a Republic based on the free will of the Turkish nation and wrote his name in gold letters in the history of humanity. The universal dimension and foresight in his thoughts are remembered with admiration all over the world today.
Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk fought for the freedom, independence and prosperity of our nation, and while laying the foundations of the Republic, he called for peace, brotherhood and justice to all humanity. With the strength we get from his determination and fighting spirit, we will work tirelessly to carry the Republic of Turkey even further and fulfill our responsibility towards Atatürk's legacy.
With these feelings and thoughts, we respectfully commemorate the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms and all our martyrs, and offer our gratitude and thanks. May their souls rest in peace and their places be heaven.❞
