The esteemed Rector of Atatürk University, Professor Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, has graciously conveyed a significant message in commemoration of the momentous occasion of 15 July, which symbolizes the principles of democracy and national unity. In his message, Rector Çomaklı employed the subsequent statements:
The epic of July 15, which was composed by the Turkish nation during the 19th century, stands as a remarkable testament. It serves as a guiding force, offering direction to nations whose sovereignty is tampered with, whose liberty is under threat, and whose autonomy is targeted for annihilation. Hence, we express our felicity for those individuals who steadfastly oppose those who assail the cohesion, faith, and incorruptibility of our nation.
"The valiant individuals who demonstrated exceptional courage and selflessness on the momentous day of July 15, hereby referred to as the Heroes of July 15, deserve our utmost reverence and respect. These noble souls, who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as our esteemed veterans who valiantly fought and emerged triumphant, are deserving of our unwavering admiration and this nation shall forever retain your memory, perpetually honoring and expressing deep appreciation towards your personage. On this auspicious occasion, we commemorate the souls of our valiant martyrs and the hallowed sites of triumph, as we celebrate the esteemed Democracy and National Unity Day of the illustrious and magnanimous Turkish Nation." Çomaklı said.
