HAPPY APRIL 23 NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY AND CHILDREN'S DAY

Atatürk University Rector. Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı published a message on the occasion of April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day and Ramadan Month, stating the following in his message:

“April 23 is the 100th anniversary of a complete freedom struggle of a nation that gives life and lives under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal, with his martyrs and veterans, who are aware that everything remains detailed whent it comes to the homeland, even if they are in poverty and necessity.

We celebrate the joy and pride of the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Grand National Assembly, which represents the will of the Turkish Nation, with a festive enthusiasm. However,  during the pandemic days we are in, we cannot celebrate at schools, stadiums, streets and with night lantern regiments as we are accustomed to. Our children who wear colorful clothes like a butterfly cannot decorate all four corners of our country on the only children's holiday in the world. However, we know that April 23 has superior and more enthusiastic meanings.

Although it is not possible to go out to the streets to celebrate this beautiful and meaningful holiday as one and together, this consciousness unites us in our homes, and our shared national and spiritual values lead us to unity without limiting us to places.

With all these feelings, I congratulate the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

I also wish that this beautiful month will bring good fortune to all of us, bring health, blessings and well-being, being on the eve of the holy Ramadan, which we will realize with the Muslim world.
