Atatürk University

AFTER 30 YEARS, THEY CAME TOGETHER AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY

On the 30th anniversary of their graduation, the graduates of the Department of Turcology at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Atatürk University were hosted by the Career Planning and Graduate Monitoring Application and Research Centre (ATAKARMER).

The graduates, who re-entered their classrooms after meeting in the old Faculty of Literature building, convened in classroom number 6, where they received their education as students, during the visit. Upon their return to Atatürk University after a 30-year absence, the graduates expressed their immense joy at the opportunity to touch the desks and reminisce about the past, despite experiencing emotive moments. The graduates, who were eager to reconnect with their professors and peers, reported that they were able to relive the tranquilly of their youth.

The commencement of the programme was marked by the speeches of Prof. Dr. Dilaver Düzgün, Dean of the Faculty of Letters, and Prof. Dr. Neslihan Kulözü, Director of the Career Planning and Graduate Monitoring Application and Research Centre. The roll call of the 1994 graduates of the Department of Turkology and the putting on of the robes followed.
