4 PROJECTS QUALIFIED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FINAL COMPETITION
Atatürk University Computer Engineering Department once again left its mark on the 2242 University Students Research Project Competitions, which was held for the 10th time this year by theTurkish Scientific and Technical Research Institute (TÜBİTAK) Scientist Support Department (BİDEB).
A total of 583 project applications were made in 9 fields in 2022 for the competition, which was organized within the scope of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, and these projects were evaluated by 46 jury members who are experts in their fields. As a result of the preliminary evaluation, a total of 120 projects in 9 fields were entitled to participate in the final competition.
Four of the five projects, prepared as undergraduate graduation projects under the consultancy of Computer Engineering Department Lecturer Dr. Deniz DalI, succeeded in being among the 120 projects in question. 3% of the projects to be exhibited in the final competition, where the rate of invitation to the final competition was 20%, were prepared by the students of the Computer Engineering department.
İbrahim Hakkı Rizelioğlu and Mine Nur Kasımoğulları with the Artificial Intelligence Supported Virtual Archery Instructor project in the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Category, Ebru Aslan and Şeymanur Başgöze with the RFID Based, Interactive and Educational Game Ecosystem project in the Education Category, SADUS: Emergency Warning and Information for the Health Sector Yunus Emre Eraslan and Orhun Dinç, with their System System project, and Azat Titiz and Ecem Kar with their Interactive Ski Simulator project in the Machinery Manufacturing and Automotive Category, qualified to participate in the final competition.
After the evaluations of the University Students Research Project Competition Final Competition, which will be held in Giresun within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2022 between 22-24 July 2022 and will be held in the form of the Final Exhibition and the jury presentation, the (first, second and third) projects will also receive their awards.
Commenting on the subject, Dr. Deniz Dal Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı Stating that they attach great importance to the support given by to the TEKNOFEST competitions and that they are happy to crown the education given in the Computer Engineering department with the project outputs that are appreciated on a national scale, he emphasized that he fully believes that his students will add new degrees to the regional and final competitions in the same project in the previous years.
Stating that students and academicians have accomplished important projects with their efforts and devoted work, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı mentioned that the achievements in national and international competitions are a source of pride throughout the university.
Rector Çomaklı congratulated the students of the Computer Engineering Department who will participate in the competition with 4 projects by being invited to TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aerospace and Technology Festival, and wished them success in the competition.
