NEW INITIATIVES FOR OPEN EDUCATION COLLABORATION TO ENHANCE QUALITY AND ACCESSIBILITY
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, and the university delegation that accompanied him paid a congratulatory visit to Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Adıgüzel, who recently assumed office.
The current and prospective collaborations between the two universities were assessed during the courteous visit. Future initiatives and academic sharing were prioritized during the exchange of ideas regarding activities conducted in the field of open education and innovative practices within this field.
In his evaluation of the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu underscored the significance of solidarity and cooperation among universities in the advancement of higher education. He stated, "The shared objective of our universities, which have a rich history in various regions of Turkey, is to create knowledge, prioritize social welfare, and educate qualified individuals." In this regard, I extend my best wishes to Prof. Dr. Yusuf Adıgüzel in his new role and would like to convey my conviction that our institutions will continue to maintain robust collaboration in both academic and administrative domains. Through mutual sharing of our experiences, particularly in the realm of open education, we can jointly establish a more inclusive and accessible educational model.
Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Adıgüzel expressed his satisfaction with the visit, stating that the support of one of Turkey's deep-rooted educational institutions, such as Atatürk University, was valuable to them. He also expressed that they attach importance to the strengthening of communication and cooperation between universities.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of gifts and the taking of a memento photo to commemorate the occasion, which was conducted in a cordial manner.
