The activities carried out under the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, one of the most important projects of Atatürk University, continues at full speed.

Web of Science and InCites education officers Derya Soguksu and Erman Karabulut have trained the academics of Ataturk University on the relevant databases.

Academic staff and Data Transfer Office Coordinator Prof. Hasan Seçen attended at the Web of Science and Incites Databases Training organized by the Data Transfer Office in the Cultural Center Blue Hall.

Speaking to academics in the training program in the Blue Hall, Derya Soğuksu stated that the Web of Science indexes provide a citation reference scan with more than 250 science, social sciences, arts and humanities disciplines that lead the academic literature world; He gave information about the selection criteria of journals, conference papers, and books.

At the end of the Web of Science training,Soguksu said that academics can find answers to questions such as; "What is the high-quality research in your area of interest? Who are the researchers in your field? What are the institutions and magazines? What are the existing and potential collaborations? Who is funding scientific projects in your area of interest? How is citation analysis done? How can you create up-to-date email alerts about citations, research topics?".  Soguksu stated that the education given has an important place in academic success.
Speaking at another educational activity at the Faculty of Science Orhan Yavuz Conference Hall, the educator Erman Karabulut pointed out that InCites Web of Science Core is a research and evaluation platform prepared with collection data. He said that at the end of this training, academics would play a more active role in areas such as to analyze the efficiency of academicians, to compare scientific outputs and to strategically exploring cooperation opportunities.

Karabulut started his education by giving information to faculty members about discovering basic data and creating data sets. Later, he talked about comparing research performance, defining research strategy, following new trends in science, identifying the most effective research projects and working with reports by creating dynamic visuals.
