Atatürk University, which hosts many national and international educators to increase the knowledge, skills and experience of students and academicians, continues its activities uninterruptedly.

In this context, Prof. Dr. Ingo Eilks, who works at the University of Bremen in Germany, came together with students and academicians in the programme organised by Atatürk University Institute of Educational Sciences. In the programme held in the Blue Hall of the Culture Centre, Prof. Dr. Eilks shared his knowledge and experience with the audience with his presentation on Article-Based Doctoral Theses.

Speaking about the structure and understanding of postgraduate education at the University of Bremen, Prof. Dr. Eilks first explained the characteristics of article-based doctoral theses. Introducing his work with international doctoral students from many different countries, Prof Eilks provided enlightening information about the article-based doctoral thesis approach, which has only recently been recognised in Turkey. Prof. Dr. Eilks stated that there is an academic background in Turkish universities that can grasp the issue of article-based doctoral thesis very quickly, and said that with joint work and projects, progress will be made on this issue in a short time.

After the presentation, a question and answer session and evaluations on possible collaborations were made.
