Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation was accepted as a Centre that Can Provide Regional Anaesthesia Training by the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA).
Within the scope of the medical fields focused by the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, which is the vision project of Atatürk University and forms the basis of change, Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation was entitled to provide ESRA Approved Regional Anaesthesia Training (ESRA Approved Training Institution) by the European Regional Anaesthesia Association.
Making assessment on the subject, academic member of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation Department Assoc. Prof. İlker İnce expressed that they were pleased to have received the rewards of the work done by the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation, which was one of the areas Atatürk University focuses on and said: “ After showing our competence nationally with the performance we have shown as a team, we are very pleased to be accepted as a centre that provides high quality regional anaesthesia training in the international arena. Our studies will increasingly continue to make our university more recognized in the international arena with its long years of knowledge and experience in regional anaesthesia applications.”
Emphasizing that Atatürk University, which has been recognized by the European Association of Regional Anesthesia with the competence to provide regional anaesthesia training, has also acquired many rights in this direction,Assoc. Prof. İnce said : “ In this context, our university will be visited by observers and researchers (Research Fellows) from abroad and this will increase the international recognition of our university day by day. Hereby, I would like to thank my colleagues, hospital management and our Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı who show their support in this difficult and exhausting process.

The Rector Prof. Dr. Çomaklı emphasized that Ataturk University’s taking place in every world ranking announced, the awarding of the studies of its academicians, the accreditation of its faculties and departments, and the approval of their education by many leading prestigious associations were the result of 64 years of knowledge and he pointed out that the acceptance of the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of the Faculty of Medicine as a Center of Regional Anesthesia Training by the European Association of Regional Anesthesia was an important step towards the goal of being among the research universities of Atatürk University.
Congratulating the faculty members of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation, which was internationally recognized in such an important field, Çomaklı wished success to the whole team in their studies.
