RESEARCH HOSPITAL DISCHARGED 26 MORE PEOPLE

Atatürk University Research Hospital, which has accelerated the diagnosis and treatment studies after the emergence of Kovid-19 cases in Erzurum, continues to treat people whose conditions seem suspicious or whose tests are positive.

In the Research Hospital, where it also successfully pursues its successful studies in the field of diagnosis and treatment of Kovid-19 as well as in the field of health, 26 other people who received treatment and were discharged from Kovid-19 treatment came together with their families.

Citizens leaving the hospital by respecting the social distance and wearing a mask were discharged with the applause of doctors and healthcare professionals. The relatives of the patients also applauded the healthcare professionals working at the same time with great devotion.

Prof. Dr. Fuat Gündoğdu, Atatürk University Research Hospital Chief Physician, gave information to the press members during the discharge of the people who defeated Kovid-19 from the hospital, and he stated that 26 more people were discharged and that the Research Hospital has made an important progess in this area.

Stating that 86 people have been discharged at the Research Hospital so far, Chief Physician Gündoğdu noted that 29 of the discharged citizens are positive cases and 57 are possible cases.

Stating that they as Atatürk University successfully continue the fight against the pandemic which has become a global threat, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that the treatment of individuals who were diagnosed with Kovid-19 or who had a potential risk continues meticulously.

“Plasma Treatment is Ready”

Rector Çomaklı expressed: “Blood samples were taken from Kovid-19 patients whose treatment was completed and recovered in our hospital, and their antibodies were detected and the plasma treatment was prepared for patients who would be considered appropriate for the treatment. We have also concentrated on studies for vaccine development with the idiotip antibody method by taking blood samples from individuals with Covid-19 antibodies, and also for the stem cell therapy. On the other hand, we quickly prepared our project and presented it to the relevant authorities in order to carry out the synthesis and various tests of the drug active substances used and needed in the treatment of Kovid-19.”
