MEDXACİL STUDENT CONGRESS FROM ATABAT
The 12th National ATABAT MEDxACİL Student Congress, organized by Atatürk University Scientific Research Society, was held at Nene Hatun Cultural Center between February 22-24.
The 12th National ATABAT MEDxACİL congress, undertaken by Prof. Dr. Zeynep Çakır and Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Osman Koçak, presented information to the participants on scientific and social issues after the 9-month preparation period.
A total of 250 academicians from Ataturk University and nearly 150 academicians and medical students from Marmara, Gazi, Eskisehir Osmangazi, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Karadeniz Technical universities attended the congress.
In the scientific program of the congress, besides the scientific and academic speeches made by 12 different academicians, doctors and experts, they also made a scientific presentation to students on the subjects such as working in the emergency department, emergency cases and approach to emergency patients.
Speaking at the program, Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine Research Hospital, Department of Emergency Medicine, and Vice President of the Association of Emergency Medical Experts Prof. Dr. Zeynep Gökcan Çakır said that they wanted to explain the importance of working here with the emergency department and to raise awareness on this issue.

Professor Dr. Çakır said: “With this congress, our medical students will have a versatile knowledge of their professions and gain experience in many subjects. Here, we will first try to explain what it means to be in an emergency, to give the consciousness of being responsible from a person coming to the emergency, from head to toe, from hair to fingertip. Our students came to the congress, where we emphasized the importance of approaching emergency events and emergency patients. We are trying to make them look at these events with a scientific perspective. "
The congress ended with the receipt of results reports.
