THERE ARE 26 SCIENTISTS ON THE LIST OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL SCIENTISTS IN THE WORLD.
Stanford University and Elsevier have announced the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list. This list is published annually and includes 26 scientists from Atatürk University. It also includes academicians from the world's top universities.
The "World's Most Influential Scientists" list, published by Stanford University in the Elsevier database and ranked in the top 2% by citation year 2022, was composed of two categories: "career-long impact" and "annual impact." Indicators such as "number of qualified publications", "citations to publications", "h-index", and "hm-index" were considered when compiling the list, which comprises scientists from around the world in 22 departments and 176 sub-branches.
In these rankings, where citation information is primarily used as a criterion, a total of 204,643 scientists were included in the "career-long" list, and 210,198 were included in the "last annual" list. The "last annual" list of research scientists in Turkey included 1 395 individuals. 1040 researchers were eligible for inclusion on the "career-length" list. 26 Atatürk University scientists made the "senior year" list, while 18 made the "career-long" list.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı congratulates the scientists on the list of the world's most influential scientists. He stated that Atatürk University, which continues its journey under the name Research University, is moving forward with all of its components in a determined manner.
Rector Çomaklı made the following remarks: "We exert every effort to make every day better than the previous one. By making significant strides in this regard, we demonstrate our scientific prowess through our accomplishments. The professors at our YOKAK-accredited, student-centric university continue their research on both literature and the problems of the age and humanity. Through our scientific studies, qualified publications, and research with a significant technological impact, we advance innovative knowledge for the benefit of humanity. We are also increasing our visibility with our successes in the international arena and our collaborations."

Çomaklı stated, in welcoming the 66th academic year, that Atatürk University has created a globally sustainable science ecosystem, and with this comes success. "Every day, we achieve new successes. While our university ranks first on a national basis in the lists of important ranking organizations around the globe, it increases its success momentum on a global scale day by day. With these sentiments, I congratulate all of our scientists who have made it onto the World's Most Influential Scientists List, along with all those who have contributed to the growth of Atatürk University, and I wish them continued success." he finished his remarks.
