A MESSAGE OF SUPPORT FROM STUDENTS AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY TO PALESTINE

Student organizations and clubs at Atatürk University collaborated to coordinate a march in support of Palestine. The press was prepared on behalf of the group to cover the event that was held in front of the Atatürk Youth and Science Monument and featured signs and banners bearing the following inscriptions: "We are for children and justice," "Israel is the fingerprint of the murderer in Palestine," "Muslims do not submit to oppression," and "A massacre is occurring in Palestine."

Students stated in a press release published in both Turkish and English and read collectively at all universities that as of October 7, 2023, "Israeli expansionism, which has persecuted Palestinians through famine, death, and forced migration since 1948, has transformed into a genocide that will be disgraced by humanity in the annals of time."

Scholars underscored the existence of a genocide wherein 35,000 individuals, irrespective of gender, age, or physical impairment, perished over the course of 209 days at the hands of Israeli barbarism. Thousands more were compelled to flee their homelands and places of residence, and infants in their cradles perished beneath the debris caused by aerial assaults. Students expressed, "What anguish has humanity endured; The hypocritical ruling powers and international organizations,"The so-called State of Israel, which uses its political, military, and economic strength to exert pressure on the dominant powers and international organizations to remain silent, must now realize that the spear does not fit in the sack."

The barbarism perpetrated by Israel, which has spread to global stages, has sparked protests from courageous individuals residing in diverse regions across the globe. These individuals, despite their distinct religions, races, hues, and languages, are united in their concern for the children and women in Gaza. An unexpected location is currently generating a surge in response, which the invaders could not have anticipated. The voices emanating from the universities, the intellectual epicenter of the United States and the location in which they have the most faith, are upsetting the occupiers' systems. All the institutions in Arizona, Florida, Texas, California, and Ohio upon which they have long depended are presently perilous to them. The echoes and screams emanating from their places of torment and genocide are considered actions deserving of retribution. Because they are well aware that their actions are immoral, unlawful, and contrary to their conscience, they prefer to detain scientists and students who valiantly resist them as a means of retaliation.

Following the statement, students marched from in front of the Atatürk Youth and Science Monument to the front of the central cafeteria, carrying banners and slogans.
