The scientific review process for the projects submitted to the Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB) in the first term of 2023 has been concluded within the framework of the "1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program." Accordingly, Atatürk University achieved a notable position by securing the 6th rank among all universities, with a commendable support of 7 TÜBİTAK 1001 projects. Once again, a total of six projects were assessed within the context of their development.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı expressed his congratulations to the faculty members whose TÜBİTAK projects were approved, thanks to the assistance provided by Atatürk University Project Development and Coordination Office. He emphasized the institution's commitment to enhancing opportunities for faculty members by implementing strategies and incentives aimed at augmenting the number of projects and policies that facilitate their research endeavors.
The TÜBİTAK Research Support Programs Presidency has recently released the Scientific Evaluation Results of the 1st Term 1001 Projects of 2023. Within the framework of these programs, a total of 7 faculty members from Atatürk University have been granted support. Rector Çomaklı expressed the university's commitment to becoming a research-oriented institution that engages in development activities, technology generation, patent creation, and dissemination of scientific knowledge for the betterment of society. To enhance the quantity of our scientific research endeavors and improve the working environment for our scholars, we consistently update our technological infrastructure in addition to our current facilities. Our objective is to surpass the existing ranking through the implementation of newly designed projects.
The Scientific Evaluation Results of the 1001 Projects have revealed the acceptance of projects proposed by several esteemed academics. These individuals include Professor Dr. Fahri Yavuz from the Faculty of Agriculture, specifically the Department of Agricultural Economics, Professor Dr. Gonca Alak from the Faculty of Fisheries, specifically the Fisheries and Processing Technology Department, Professor Dr. Harun Budak and Assistant Professor Gökçe Karadayı from the Faculty of Science, specifically the Department of Molecular Biology, and Faculty Members of the Department of Chemistry, namely Associate Dr. Haydar Kılıç and Dr. Ferruh Lafzi, as well as Associate Dr. Seda Okumuş from the Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty Mathematics and Science Education Department.
Atatürk University achieved the third rank among all universities in the projects that were determined to be implemented without delay till the subsequent semester. In this particular context, Prof. Dr. Murat Aslan from the Faculty of Fisheries, Department of Aquaculture, Assoc. Dr. Alper Baran from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Department of Food Hygiene and Technology, Assoc. Dr. Derya Anıl from the Technical Sciences Vocational School Chemistry and Chemical Processing Technologies Department, Assoc. Dr. Esra Kavaz Perişanoğlu from the Faculty of Science, Physics Department, Assoc. Dr. Neslihan Serçeoğlu from the Faculty of Tourism, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Clinical Sciences, Assoc. Dr. Songül Cömert Kılıç had projects that were prepared for presentation ahead of the subsequent term, without delay.
