The Turkish University Sports Federation's Winter Universities Ice Hockey Turkey Championship, which took place in Erzurum from February 8-12, 2025, was a thrilling event. In the men's category, Atatürk University emerged as the champion of Turkey, and in the women's category, they accomplished a noteworthy accomplishment by placing second.

Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, President of the Turkish University Sports Federation, Bayburt University Rector Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, and Erzurum Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak participated in the competitions, which were held in the 3000-square-meter Ice Hockey Hall. The athletes' exceptional performances in the competitive contests provided the audience with unforgettable moments.

Istanbul University faced Atatürk University in the men's final match, and the latter emerged victorious with a score of 6-4, which secured the title of Turkey's champion. Atatürk University and Erzurum Technical University competed in the women's final. In a match that was marked by a significant conflict, Atatürk University was defeated by its opponent 2-1 and subsequently became the second-ranked team in Turkey.

After the tournament, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu conducted evaluations and underscored that Atatürk University has assumed a pioneering position in both academic and athletic endeavors.
