Atatürk University will host the Eastern Anatolia Regional Career Fair (DAKAF'20), which will be held at Recep Tayip Erdoğan Congress Center on March 5-6, 2020, with the support of the Presidency Human Resources Office and the participation of 10 universities in the region.
The Biggest Human Resources Event of the Region Begins
Ataturk University one of Turkey's oldest university with its 63-year history, as a coordinator Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı made evaluations about the "Eastern Anatolia Regional Career Fair", which will bring together university students studying in the Eastern Anatolia Region with sector representatives. He stated that the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, which was launched within the framework of the new YÖK vision, opened new horizons for them in many areas. In this context, Rector Çomaklı, who shared the information that 29 units were opened, mentioned that one of them is Career Planning and Alumni Monitoring Application and Research Center, which has an important role in DAKAF'20 organization. Rector Çomaklı emphasized that Atatürk University has provided human resources, equipped research infrastructure, hundreds of thousands of students / graduates, and its region and country with qualified human and information resources.He said: ‘Our university creates an effective communication network between companies that have significant potential in the production and employment of the region and students, and will bring this cooperation to the top with DAKAF.’
DAKAF’20 will be a Bridge between Sector Representatives and Students
He stated that preparations have come to the final stage at Atatürk University that will host the Eastern Anatolia Regional Career Fair, which will be held with the support of the Presidency Human Resources Office, with the participation of stakeholder universities. He stated that this fair, which will be held with the aim of reviving the employment and career opportunities of the Eastern Anatolia Region, will serve as a bridge between the employer, students and alumni.
Rector Ömer Çomaklı, who stated that they organized the Career Fair in order to shape the careers of the students of other universities in the region together with their graduates of Atatürk University and to provide them with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills, added: ‘’ It will take place in Turkey's public institutions and organizations as well as academics with important organizations providing services in various sectors, those of us our students with this exhibition, will meet with the industry's leading names, will have the chance to build important business connections. With the fair in which Turkey will take place in the public institutions and organizations as well as major organizations providing services in various sectors, our students and academics will meet the leading names in the industry and will have the chance to create important business connections. They will make initiatives for employment and internship processes and employment. In the fair where more than 300 projects will be presented with more than 300 stands, we will also inform the career and business world through the panel, symposium, conference, chat and training programs, workshops we will organize. ”

Rector Çomaklı emphasized that with the “Talent is Everywhere” theme, the Regional Career Fairs that set off in 2019 brought vitality to the cities where it was held. He said: “In this event, which takes place in cooperation with universities, public institutions, private sector and professional chambers, our students will meet with representatives of public institutions and the business world. Within the scope of the fair whose main sponsors are Erzurum Governorship, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, İŞKUR and the Northeast Anatolian Development Agency (KUDAKA), students and graduates, ministry officials will be able to get first-hand information on issues such as job-internship opportunities and will perform job interviews.
Thousands of Students Will Have the Opportunity to Connect with the Business World
Participating companies and institutions will be able to accept job and internship applications by opening a booth in the fair area for 2 days, by finding the opportunity to introduce themselves to students and graduates from 11 different universities in the East Anatolian Region At DAKAF’20, which is the biggest human resources event of the region and it will be organized with the aim of bringing students and business world together, where hundreds of companies for students and alumni from each department will take place.
In addition, an interview room will be allocated to institutions and companies that want to interview graduates and senior students. The fair to be held under the coordination of Atatürk University; Erzurum Technical University and Erzincan Binali Yıldırım, Munzur, Artvin Çoruh, Kafkas, Van Yüzüncü Yıl, İbrahim Çeçen, Ardahan, Iğdır and Muş Alparslan Universities will attend.
