MOBILE UNITS PRODUCED BY ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY ARE DELIVERED TO THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE
Atatürk University, which took action and organized after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which occurred one after another and had devastating effects in 10 provinces in total, continues its aid mobilization for the earthquake region.
Within the scope of the list of needs determined by AFAD, an aid campaign was started within the Atatürk University Development Foundation, and the aid collected by the academic and administrative staff, especially the students and parents of Atatürk University Private Foundation Schools, and charitable citizens, continues to be delivered to the earthquake zone in coordination with AFAD.
On the other hand, due to the bread need in the region, 100 thousand breads were produced in the Atatürk University Food and Livestock Center bread factory, both on behalf of the University and the Red Crescent and Erzurum Commodity Exchange, and sent to the earthquake zone by the Red Crescent.
Atatürk University, which started to work in the central workshops for the mobile toilet, which is included in the priority needs call of AFAD, produces 20 mobile toilets per day and provides their transfer to the needy areas. Atatürk University, which has sent 100 portable toilets to the region so far, continues to operate at full capacity.
With the support of benevolent people, institutions and organizations in Erzurum, the portable toilets, all of which are produced in the workshops of Atatürk University and which also have electricity and water installations, are delivered to the earthquake area by Atatürk University.
Visiting the workshops and the bread factory to examine the works on site, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı also gave moral support to the university staff, who worked non-stop for the needs of the earthquake victims.
Emphasizing that these disaster days will be overcome in unity and solidarity as a country and nation, Rector Çomaklı said that Atatürk University is always with the earthquake victims and is ready by mobilizing all its resources for support.
