Round University Ranking 2020 sorting (RUR) has been released,  which has been published for 11 years by Russia-based RUR Rankings Agency, which evaluates the effectiveness of universities and is a world university ranking, has been announced by 2020.

1,100  world's leading universities with a world class university ranking, which measures the performance of 20 indicators in four basic categories University Ranking Round of 17 universities took place in Turkey in the list published on April 29, 2020.

While our university ranked 636 in the RUR list in the Research category of Atatürk University for the first time, it ranked 11th among other Turkish universities on the list and 7th among public universities. Likewise, Atatürk University, which is 625 in the world in Financial Sustainability category, ranked 13th among Turkish universities on the list and 10th among state universities.

Expressing that they show intense efforts to reveal the true potential of Atatürk University, Atatürk University rector. Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that the successful results achieved in the world rankings that have been announced consecutively in recent days have brought them closer to the goal of becoming a 'Research University'.

Rector Çomaklı stated that many international statistical institutions are included in the rankings of world universities as Atatürk University: “Since the day we took office, we have been working to increase the efficiency of the university in every field. The superior efforts of our university members are crowned with the successes gained as the university evaluation indexes made at home and abroad are announced. Of course, these rankings are not enough. In line with the goal of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we are working hard to move our university higher in the world rankings, and we will continue to work hard. Within the framework of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project that we have carried out in line with the vision of the New YÖK (Higher Education Counsil); We have created a peaceful, safe and decent environment for education, training and scientific research. We have created a Ataturk University climate that produces science and conducts research and development. This climate brings us to success. Our goal is to move our university among the top 500 universities in the world. ”

Finally, Rector Prof. Rector reminded that Atatürk University showed a very important success in the World University Rankings prepared by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the rating institutions accepted as the authority in the world in education. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that they are among the top 200 universities in the world in the fields of Qualified Education and Terrestrial Life in the prepared ranking.

Rector Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University has succeeded in becoming one of the world's top 300 most influential universities in the field of 'Industry and Innovation', in the ranking where education, research, citation count, industry income and the international outlook of universities are based on and evaluated, and added that they are proud to have achieved such a success on behalf of our country.
