10 PROGRAMS ACCREDITED AT ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF LETTERS
FEDEK has accredited ten programs at the Faculty of Letters of Atatürk University.
The 2023 evaluation period marked the conclusion of the accreditation procedure conducted by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Curriculums of the Faculties of Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language, and History-Geography (FEDEK). In this context, the following programs have been awarded accreditation for the first time: Information and Document Management (Daytime and Evening Education), Arabic Language and Literature (Daytime and Evening Education), German Language and Literature (Daytime Education), English Language and Literature (Daytime Education), Sociology (Daytime Education), Turkish Language and Literature (Daytime Education), Art History (Daytime Education), and History (Daytime Education). It was asserted that the academic quality and educational standards of these programs were registered at the national and international levels following comprehensive evaluations conducted by FEDEK.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman Çiğdem, Dean of the Faculty of Letters, stated in his statement regarding the accreditation process that this accomplishment is a significant step toward the faculty's objective of excellence in education. Dean Çiğdem stated, "This success is a testament to the national and international recognition of the quality of our faculty's education and training." I would like to extend my gratitude to all of our academicians and administrative personnel who made contributions to the process.

According to Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Atatürk University is the institution in Turkey with the maximum number of undergraduate programs that have been accredited. "Accreditation is a critical component that enhances our university's international recognition," stated Rector Hacımüftüoğlu, citing the university's quality-oriented vision to provide world-class education. He expressed his gratitude to all academic and administrative personnel who made contributions.
Additionally, Rector Hacımüftüoğlu stated that other programs that are currently undergoing accreditation processes will be registered upon meeting national and international accreditation standards in a timely manner. This success of the university, Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized, once again demonstrates its determination to enhance the quality of education and training it provides to students. He also noted that Atatürk University is taking confident steps towards the future with its world-class education approach and continuous development vision.
