The 9th of Erzurum Promotion Days, organised by Erzurum Economic Social Research and Assistance Foundation (ESAV), was held at ANFA Fair and Congress Center between 5-8 October in the capital Ankara. Ataturk University also took its place with its stands in the promotion days with an intense participation.

The last address of Erzurum Promotion Days, which were organised in different cities in different time periods in order to bring together the people of Erzurum living outside Erzurum and at the same time to introduce the ancient history and unique culture of the city to the people living in other cities, was Ankara. At the 9th Erzurum Promotion Days organised this year, Atatürk University opened a stand with many of its units and shared information with its visitors about the activities carried out.

The promotion days, where Erzurum's local dances, clothes, food, natural beauties and touristic areas were introduced, also hosted many artistic events. In addition to these, the stands of Atatürk University attracted great attention in the event where the works of public institutions were shared with the visitors.

Rector Çomaklı: "Our Common Love Erzurum..."

Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University endeavours to participate in the activities organised in order to fulfil its mission of contributing to the society as well as education and research. In this context, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that by participating in national and international symposiums, science festivals, city promotions and university days, they explained the studies carried out within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project and took steps to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation.

Emphasising the importance of these and similar events in terms of promoting the city, Rector Çomaklı said: "I would like to thank our citizens who visited our stands and conveyed their good wishes at the Erzurum Promotion Days held in the capital Ankara in order to promote and keep alive the natural beauties, cultural and artistic features of Erzurum, and I would like to express once again that we will continue to work with all our strength for Erzurum, which is our common denominator and love."
