ORGANIZED BY ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY EASTERN ANATOLIA CAREER FAIR ENDED
The Eastern Anatolia Career Fair (DAKAF'20), supported by the Presidential Human Resources Office with the slogan “Talent is Everywhere” and hosted by Atatürk University, ended with a closing ceremony.
Opened by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Salim Atay the Chairman of the Human Resources Office of the Presidency DAKAF'20 brought together the city's civil, administrative, military and judiciary, as well as students and sector representatives, has the feature of being the largest and biggest human resources event in the region.
DAKAF'20, held at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Center on March 5-6, with the aim of reviving the employment and career opportunities of the Eastern Anatolia Region, served as a bridge among the employer and students and alumni.Thanks to the fair, in which Turkey's public institutions and organizations as well as major organizations providing services in different sectors attended , students and academics, met with the leading names in the industry.
“35 Thousand Students Visited”
At the fair, where attempts were made for students' employment and internship processes and employment, the fair also made a great contribution not only to the career of students but also to future projections of participating companies.In the fair, where more than 150 projects were presented with 450 stands, there were also panel, symposiums, conferences, chat and training programs, workshops, and informational meetings for the career and business world.
Atatürk University Rector Prof.Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that DAKAF'20 was visited by about 35 thousand students for two days and added that they are proud to bring together students, academics and industry representatives.
“Career Fairs Bring Liveliness to the Cities Where They Take Place”
Rector Çomaklı emphasized that the career fairs prepared especially for students have a very important place in gaining youth, and said that the fairs also bring liveliness to the cities where the they take place.
Rector Çomaklı said that the students met with the representatives of the public institutions and the business world in this activity, which was realized in cooperation with universities, public institutions, private sector and professional chambers.Rector Çomaklı thanked all stakeholders, especially the Erzurum Governorship, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, İŞKUR and the Northeast Anatolia Development Agency (KUDAKA) for their main sponsorship.
Rector Çomaklı Became Moderator in Panel
In the closing program of DAKAF'20, a panel in which Rector Prof.Dr. Ömer Çomaklı attended was also held.
To the panel moderated by Rector Çomaklı,managers of industry sectors LCW Board Member Çiğdem Mutlu, , EVYAP Supply Chain Group President Levent Tavukçuoğlu, General Manager of Istanbul Congress and Visitors Bureau (ICVB) Cemil Hakan Kılıç, The Ceo of İbrahim Çeçen Investnent Holding Inc. Murad Bayar and Fatinoğlu Holding (SANICA) Vice Chairman Ali Fatinoğlu attended.
At the panel, the guests helped students to get ideas by transferring their experiences from studentship to their business life and management.
Executives who explained the difficulties that can be experienced in business life pointed out that working hard, smiling, and reassuring people will always have positive results, and they added that success will come as long as they continue without giving up after the failures encountered in life.
Awards were given in R&D and Project Market Competition
Following the panel, the award ceremony of the R&D and Project Market Competition, which was carried out in cooperation with the Northeast Anatolian Development Agency, Ata Teknokent and Atatürk University Career Center, took place.
In the contest, Mustafa Manav won the first place with his project "Stop Bleeding by Pressing the Arteries" and titled "Arterial Pressure Band After Angioma", Fırat Güneş won the second place with his project titled "Design and Control of an Unmanned Miniature Underwater Vehicle" and Yusuf Bayram Tuğlu and Kübra Kablan won third place for the project Medical Case Solution titled “Virtual Clinic”.
The closing program and the award ceremony ended with a family photo.
