AN ACADEMIC VISIT TO IRAQ BY A DELEGATION FROM ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY
Ömer Çomaklı, the Rector of Atatürk University, has recently organized an academic visit to Iraq, in addition to his recent visits to Azerbaijan, Poland, and Lithuania. Çomaklı has signed cooperation protocols with numerous universities within the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project.
During the four-day visit, Çomaklı and his delegation will engage in cooperation meetings with a variety of universities in Iraq. The significance of these negotiations, which were initiated by Anbar University, lies in their potential to fortify bilateral relationships in both academic and cultural domains.
Cooperation discussions with Anbar University
Anbar University, the initial destination of the tour, is recognized as one of Iraq's most esteemed and distinguished educational institutions. The rector and academic staff of Anbar University, along with Çomaklı, signed a cooperation protocol between the two universities. The protocol encompasses student and academician exchange programs, collaborative research projects, and a variety of academic events. With this collaboration, it is intended to generate novel opportunities for academics and students in both Turkey and Iraq.
Meetings with Other Universities that Are Scheduled
The scope of Çomaklı's mission to Iraq will extend beyond Anbar University. Cooperation meetings will be conducted with Iraq's premier universities during the subsequent days of the visit. Issues such as the implementation of joint studies and projects in a variety of disciplines, the exchange of scientific publications, and the organization of joint seminars will be addressed during these meetings. Cooperation protocols will be signed to address the agreed-upon issues.
