In pursuit of becoming a global university, Atatürk University continues its internationalization efforts through the signature of scientific and cultural protocols with the preeminent universities in eastern geography.

Within this framework, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, who was in attendance at Atatürk University, was paid a visit by Azerbaijan Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Vilayat Valiyev, his delegate Prof. Dr. Fariz Mammadov, and University Industry Cooperation President Prof. Dr. Aynure İsmailova. Academics from various institutions accompanied Rector Valiyev during the visit, including Metin Uymaz Salamcı, general manager of the Production Technologies Center of Excellence (ÜRTEMM A.Ş).

An accord was achieved between Azerbaijan Technical University and Atatürk University via the cooperation protocol regarding academic staff and student exchanges grounded in research and education, the coordination of joint scientific investigations, and the organization of diverse cultural events.

A resolution regarding technical visits to both institutions was achieved during the ceremony held in the rector's office, in the presence of the vice rectors. The protocol for such visits was also signed byProf. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and Prof. Dr. Vilayat Valiyev.

Valiyev, expressing his great pleasure at collaborating with Atatürk University, one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in our sister nation Turkey, stated that the agreement will further solidify the countries' friendship and cooperation. Valiyev further stated that both sister universities have much to gain from one another, stating that they regard Turkish universities asinstituions of their own.

"Our cooperation and efficiency with Azerbaijan Technical University will be significantly enhanced."

As Atatürk University pursues its national and international leadership mission, particularly in the capital Baku, bilateral cooperation studies continue to expand, according to Rector Çomaklı. He further stated that closer and more effective studies will be conducted with Azerbaijan Technical University.

Rector Çomaklı declared that Azerbaijan Technical University, a modern institution comparable to Atatürk University, is officially acknowledged by the Council of Higher Education (YOK). Furthermore, the exchange of scholars and students will be facilitated by the curriculum's compatibility with Turkey. "Azerbaijan Technical University is also a participating institution in the ERASMUS program for staff and students mobility." A university during the upcoming term with which we will collaborate. As with numerous cooperation agreements, we expect to extend to our brother and friend Azerbaijan, in addition to our global perspective, scientific and technical opportunities that will benefit us, and to receive assistance from them that will further our cause. We accomplish commendable work by integrating our experiences and adhering to the agreements we enter into. This facilitates scientific productivity and cultural diversity. We, as a university, hold the belief that the notable achievements that have garnered attention in recent times are in direct correlation with the partnerships that have been established. The students and academics we accommodate are, alongside those who depart from our country and university, the most vital components of our mission to establish a global university.
