ACADEMIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN ATATURK UNIVERSITY AND DAEGU HANANY UNIVERSITY
Atatürk University hosted Prof. Jichung Song, Prof. Bong Hyo Lee, and Dr. Song Youngil from the Faculty of Korean Medicine at Daegu Hanany University, one of the most esteemed higher education institutions in South Korea. During the visit, the delegation conferred with Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu and established significant connections regarding academic collaborations between universities.
Throughout the visit, the visiting academicians were accompanied by Prof. Dr. Yasemin Çayır, Director of the Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine Methods Application and Research Centre, and Prof. Dr. Abdelaty Mostafa Abdelaty Hassibelnaby, Faculty Member of Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine. The visiting academicians taught a special lecture on "Acupuncture" to the students of the Faculty of Medicine and shared their knowledge and experiences in the academic aspect of the visit.
In conjunction with the Vice Rectors, the delegation conducted a series of investigations at the University Hospital and Faculty of Medicine, acquiring comprehensive information regarding the academic knowledge and infrastructure of Atatürk University in the field of health. The cooperation protocols that were signed between the two universities were the most noteworthy aspect of the visit. Joint doctoral programs, student and faculty member exchange programs, and joint scientific research initiatives will be implemented within the framework of the signed agreements.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, commented on the visit, emphasising that internationalisation is a fundamental component of the modern university. He stated, "At Ataturk University, we are making a concerted effort to enhance our scientific collaboration beyond national borders." This collaboration with Daegu Hanany University is particularly advantageous in the realm of health sciences and complementary medicine. We aspire to foster a more qualified academic environment that fosters the development of both our faculty members and students through these interactions. Our objective is to enhance our collaboration by encompassing more extensive initiatives in the future.
During the meeting, the parties conveyed their shared desire for academic and scientific collaborations to persist in a sustainable manner. The signed protocols established a firm and productive bridge between the two universities.
