COOPERATION PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY AND ERZURUM TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Atatürk University, which continues to support inter-institutional cooperation with its academic and scientific infrastructure, has signed a cooperation protocol with Erzurum Technical University.


Under the protocol signed by Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu and Erzurum Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak at Erzurum Technical University, an agreement was reached regarding the use of Atatürk University's Sports Sciences Application and Research Centre laboratories.


The protocol, which will enable joint educational activities, the implementation of education and certification programmes, and the organisation of R&D and scientific activities (such as conferences, symposiums, workshops, panels, and seminars) related to the activities of the Sports Sciences Application and Research Centre, will also Additionally, under the protocol, which aims to encourage inter-institutional cooperation and increase the number of publications in high-impact journals, laboratory measurements conducted by faculty members from both universities as part of research on various issues will be free of charge.


Speaking at the signing ceremony, where the joint obligations of the institutions were also determined, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu said that he was pleased that the collaboration was based on a strong foundation at the point where academic and sporting activities converged. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu said, "Reinforcing the positive effects of sports on health, society and individual development with scientific data is a step that will take us all forward. This protocol will not only enable the joint use of our laboratories, but also pave the way for research that will contribute to the development process of our athletes. Such collaborations will enable us to achieve more effective and efficient results at the intersection of scientific research and sports. I wish this protocol to be beneficial for both institutions and thank everyone who contributed to it."


Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak stated that the signed protocol marks a step towards a healthier and more successful future in this new era where sports and science converge. Prof. Dr. Çakmak said that the protocol, which is based on the shared use of laboratories, is important in terms of examining the scientific aspects of sports in greater depth and utilising them more effectively.
