ACADEMIC COOPERATION MEETING BETWEEN İSTANBUL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY AND ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY...
An significant visit was conducted at Ataturk University to foster academic collaborations. Harun Elkıran, a data science expert from İstanbul Technical University, met with Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, to discuss academic and strategic collaborations between the two institutions.
Cooperation opportunities between the data management divisions of both universities were deliberated during the meeting. Additionally, strategies were discussed for achieving a higher ranking in global university rankings and the criteria established by international ranking organizations. An agreement was reached to develop joint initiatives during the meeting, which involved the evaluation of studies that were designed to enhance academic quality.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the visit and emphasized the importance of fostering academic collaboration and sharing knowledge and experience with a well-established and respected university in Turkey, such as İstanbul Technical University. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu stated, "The key to enhancing university rankings is the implementation of robust data management and qualified academic research." Atatürk University will gain even more strength in the international arena by taking the necessary steps in this direction. In this context, I would like to express my gratitude to Harun Elkıran for his substantial contributions to our work, which were facilitated by his extensive experience in the field.
The meeting concluded with a mutual expression of goodwill and a commitment to bolstering academic collaborations and joint initiatives in the future. The objective is to convert this close collaboration between İstanbul Technical University and Atatürk University into tangible initiatives in the future, thereby contributing to the Turkish academy.
