ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY BECOMES CO-ORGANIZER OF THE CONFERENCE HELD IN MALAYSIA
Within the scope of the bilateral cooperation signed between Atatürk University and the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Atatürk University served as the Co-Organizer at the 5th International Conference on Developments in Manufacturing and Materials Engineering (ICAMME) 2022. The conference took place online August 9-10 in Kuala Lumpur, with speeches from leading researchers in the field of manufacturing and materials engineering and oral presentations by participants.
ICAMME 2022, a series of conferences organized by the Department of Manufacturing and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) as part of the IIUM Engineering Congress, is designed for engineers, academics, scientists and researchers to present the results of ongoing research in different fields related to Materials and Manufacturing Engineering. In addition to providing an international technical forum for companies and industries, it creates an effective environment for ideas and knowledge sharing, knowledge exchange, innovations and products.
The conference includes the subjects on Graphene, Carbon Nanotubes, 2D Materials, Nanomaterials, Smart Materials, Functional Materials, Surface Coating, Nanoelectronics, Nanoelectromechanical Systems, Advanced Composites, Ceramics, Metallic Materials, Corrosion of Materials, Electrochemistry, Machining and Molding, Manufacturing Processes Lean Manufacturing, Flexible Manufacturing, Green Sharing scientific-technological knowledge and experience on Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, Metal Forming, Intelligent Manufacturing, Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Engineering.
An academic member of Atatürk University Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. İhsan Efeoğlu participated in the conference as a “Keynote Announcer” with his study titled “Synthesis of Nb and Zr Added TiCN:TiBN Composite Coatings with CFUBM-HiPIMS Technology and Investigation of Mechanical Properties”, and shared the typical data from the results of the project carried out in the Surface Technologies R&D Laboratory, regarding the development of functional BCN-based thin film coatings to increase the life and performance of machine elements operating in aggressive environments in defense systems in high temperature environments.
Thanking Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı for the efforts and support of Atatürk University to take place as a Co-Organizer in the conference, Efeoğlu said that they are proud to carry the name of Atatürk University to international platforms.
Researchers working in the Surface Technologies Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who participated in the conference, successfully represented Atatürk University with 7 oral presentations.
