ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY STRENGTHENS ITS COMMUNICATION WITH ITS ALUMNI

Ataturk University has put into service its Alumni Information System, which has been prepared with the aim of getting closer attention and communication with its nearly half a million graduates. Thanks to this system, which will serve as a bridge between the university and the graduates, Atatürk University will establish a strong communication network with all its members.

Atatürk University Graduate Information System (GIS) was activated as a result of the joint studies of Career Planning and Alumni Monitoring Application and Research Center and Computer Science Research and Application Center (CSRAC), Digital Transformation Office and Student Affairs Department.

Alumni Information System Works Integrated with E-Service and E-Government

Providing information about the subject, Rector of Atatürk University Prof.Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that the Career Center, which was opened within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, was very successful in a short time and GIS application is one of the latest examples of this. Rector Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University graduates should register via e-government or the e-service portal of the university in order to register for this system and in this case, past information will be automatically uploaded to the GIS application: “Our graduates will be able to make the necessary updates by logging into the system. For our graduates who update their required information after registration, our system will create their own "atauni" profile pages. If they wish, they will be able to use these profile pages in their social media such as Linkedin, ResearcGate and use their CVs, and benefit from job opportunities. ”

“It Will Play an Important Role in Career Planning of Our Graduates”

Stating that the graduate information system should be logged in via the address “mez.atauni.edu.tr” Prof. Dr. Çomaklı: “In case of entering and registering the Graduate Information System page through this address, our graduates; information about events, announcements, mentorship, graduate card, career days and Erzurum Atatürk University Members and Graduates Association (ERATÜN) will also be available.

If our alumni enter their information about their communication, graduation and employment status by entering the system, they will be able to access current information such as where their graduate friends from their own period reside, what job they are working in and see where they are on the map. Thanks to this system, our graduates who are looking for a job will also have access to human resource portals such as employer graduates and “elemanonline”. Thanks to this system, which we have prepared to deal with and communicate more closely with our nearly half a million families, our graduates and graduate candidates will be able to follow all the current information about our university and participate in the events we have prepared. On this occasion, I hope the Graduate Information System will be beneficial to all Atatürk University members. ”
