ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY DRAWS ATTENTION WITH ITS MODERN ANIMAL HEALTH SERVICES
Ayşe Ayşin Işıkgece, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, conducted investigations at Atatürk University Veterinary Faculty Animal Hospital, Mobile Animal Hospital, polyclinics, central laboratories, and clinical skills laboratory.
Deputy Minister Işıkgece expressed that he liked Atatürk University Animal Hospital, which stands out with its modern animal health services to the region. Noting that the scientific studies carried out in recent years have been instrumental in crossing an important threshold, especially with the offering of the citizens, Deputy Minister Işıkgece said that this way, productivity has increased, more contributions have been made to production, and animal diseases and related deaths have been reduced.
Stating that Atatürk University also has an important mission in this sense, Işıkgece wished success to the entire Atatürk University family, stating that he believes this education home, which contributes to the advancement of agriculture and animal husbandry with its 64 years of experience, will carry out many more successful works.
Mobile Animal Hospital Awarded with Social Contribution Award by the Presidency
Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said: Atatürk University , which directly touches the society and integrates with the public, within the scope of the “New Generation University Design and Transformation Project” carried out by; continues to provide services to its region, country and surrounding countries. Rector Çomaklı, who stated that the Mobile Animal Hospital, which received the Social Contribution Award by the Presidency in return for its services to the region's livestock, is an example, said that they made efforts to provide education, research and social contribution services in line with the vision of the New Higher Education Council, and in this context, they focused on the growth and progress of the agriculture and livestock sector. He said they had taken important steps.
Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selim Sağlam, on the other hand, stated that they will continue to serve both the higher education of the country and the provision of animal health under more modern conditions with scientific and academic studies. Dean Saglam; shared with Deputy Minister Ayşe Ayşin Işıkgece about the projects and suggestions they have developed on Veterinary Specialization Training, the status of Animal Hospitals (staff, title and administrative staff, etc.) and the treatment and health expenses of 0-6 month old calves in animal hospitals.
