ATATURK UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTES TO ERZURUM'S EMPLOYMENT WITH ITS QUALIFIED WORKFORCE TRAINING PROGRAM
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, participated in the Employment Guaranteed Vocational Training Courses Cooperation Protocol, which was organised by the Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ETSO) as part of the Qualified Workforce Training Program (NİYEP).
The meeting, which was presided over by Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi, was attended by Atatürk University REctor Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Zafer Aynalı, ETSO President Saim Özakalın, İŞKUR Erzurum Provincial Director Abdulkadir Mutlu, and employers.
The protocol, which was signed by Atatürk University, Erzurum Technical University, Erzurum Labour and Employment Agency Provincial Directorate (İŞKUR), Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry Presidency, Erzurum Commodity Exchange, and Erzurum National Education Directorate, is designed to facilitate the theoretical and practical training of a qualified workforce in the workplace.
Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu: "Migration is also prevented by employment-focused collaborations."
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, underscored the significance of universities' collaboration with the business community in his speech at the protocol signing ceremony. He advocated for the organisation of training sessions that are tailored to the specific requirements of each sector. Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu, who stated, "The protocol signed here today will not only support the education and training process, but will also make a great contribution to the economic development of Erzurum by increasing the quality of the labour market," emphasised that the protocol is a significant step towards increasing the participation of young people and women in employment.
The groundwork for the city's growth has been established by the developments in employment, production, and export, according to Rector Hacımüftüoğlu, who stated that significant projects have been implemented to prevent migration in Erzurum and enhance the quality of life. He further stated, "Such projects that unite the business world and the academic world will help our students increase their professional competencies and prepare them for the business world in a more equipped manner."
Employers' Employment Commitment: 60%
A 60% employment committment will be required from employers for apprentices within the protocol's scope. At the conclusion of the training, İŞKUR will assume responsibility for the participants' insurance premiums. Furthermore, individuals who possess a professional qualification certificate will have a greater number of employment prospects with these documents.
