PROJECT WRITING TRAINING GIVEN BY ATATURK UNIVERSITY PROJECT OFFICE
The Atatürk University Project Development and Coordination Office conducted a training program for the Governorship personnel in order to expedite regional development projects, in accordance with the bilateral cooperation protocol signed between the Erzurum Governorship and Atatürk University. The Orhan Yavuz Conference Hall of the Atatürk University Faculty of Science was the site of the Project Writing Training Event, which was sponsored by the Eastern Anatolia Project Regional Development Administration (DAP) and the Northeastern Anatolia Development Agency (KUDAKA) and featured presentations.
The two-day training program addressed critical issues, including project cycle management, project writing techniques, budget planning, risk management, and project monitoring and evaluation. During the program, Prof. Dr. Serdar Burmaoğlu, the Coordinator of the Project Development and Coordination Office, underscored the critical role of projects in the development of cities and regions. He also stated that this training will make substantial contributions to regional development and will aim to offer participants a comprehensive perspective on project management.
In the course of the training, Instr. Şule Erdilmen Ocak discussed the fundamental components of the projects under the title "What is a Project?" Lecturer Dr. Murat Bingöl addressed the subject of "Project Idea Generation Processes," while Lecturer Dr. Murat Bingöl addressed "Project Components and Public Projects." Res. Asst. Recep Kemal Kuzu informed the participants about the opportunities to access international funds and provided comprehensive information about the European Union and Horizon Europe initiatives in the subsequent sessions. DAP and KUDAKA specialists presented the project processes of their institutions and the factors that needed to be taken into account on the second day of the training. Furthermore, the participants' apprehensions regarding writing projects were effectively addressed through interactive question-and-answer sessions.
The training program was designed to equip the participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills in project management and writing, as well as to increase awareness of the importance of producing projects that contribute to the region's development. Furthermore, in accordance with the cooperation protocol between the Erzurum Governorship and Atatürk University, new training programs will be developed in 2025, and participants will receive assistance in achieving new successes in the development of their own projects.
