SAHA EXPO Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair, which also includes Atatürk University and brings together the giants of the defense industry and Turkish companies, continues.

SAHA EXPO Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair, organized by Saha Istanbul, Europe's largest industrial cluster, opened its doors. At the fair, where 250 foreign and 750 domestic companies from 57 countries participated, cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions were showcased.

At the fair organized by SAHA Istanbul, Europe's largest industrial cluster with 876 companies and 24 universities, global defense giants such as Leonardo UK, Thales, Dassault Systemes, Barzan, Motor Sich, Ivchenko-Progress, Baykar, Aselsan, Tusaş, Roketsan, Otokar Domestic companies such as Turkey continue to introduce their game-changing technologies in the field and at the table.

SAHA EXPO Defense Aviation and Space Industry Fair organized by the Defense, Aerospace and Space Clustering Association (SAHA) - Istanbul between 25-28 October 2022 at Istanbul Expo Center; It is organized under the auspices of the Presidency, with the participation and support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Trade, Presidency of Defense Industry and other civil and military public institutions.

Many products of strategic importance in the defense, aviation, maritime and space industries are being introduced for the first time at SAHA EXPO, which is an international platform where the increase in Turkey's domestic production potential in defense aviation and space technologies and its independent production power are exhibited and high-tech products are exhibited.

Atatürk University is at SAHA EXPO with its Relevant Units

There was great interest in the Field Expo fair, which Atatürk University attended with the Astrophysics Research and Application Center (ATASAM), Eastern Anatolian High Technology Application and Research Center (DAYTAM) and ATA Teknokent. Bringing the leading representatives of the sector together with both the institutions that will cooperate and the citizens, the fair continues to increase the interest in Turkish defense industry products.

Prof. Dr. Cahit Yesilyaprak from ATASAM and Eastern Anatolia Observatory (DAG).  and Dr. Onur Şatır,  from DAYTAM, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Kılıç and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halim Kovacı and Assoc. Prof.Dr. Hakan Özkan took part in the SAHA EXPO Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair with its unit stands.

Hundreds of industry representatives, managers, and visitors visited the stands; especially the studies on optical systems carried out and being carried out within the scope of the DAG project; He received information about the works and projects carried out in DAYTAM and ATA Teknokent and the projects and products carried out within Atatürk University. The Chief of the General Staff, TÜBİTAK President, TÜBİTAK Space, and SAGE Managers visited Ataturk University stand, and they were informed about their contributions to the technologies in the field of space both as a university and as DAG.
