Atatürk University's pupils continue to establish themselves as leaders in both team and individual sports. The university's recent rankings in various disciplines have served as tangible indicators of the significance it places on sports and the infrastructure support it offers.

 Ayaz Aktaş, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, placed third in the Yurtlig Arm Wrestling Turkey Championship, which was held in Karaman. The university community was immensely proud of Aktaş, who was awarded the bronze medal.

 In Antalya, the Super League Promotion Competitions were won by the Atatürk University Women's Basketball Team, which established itself as a prominent team in the Super League. The technical team and players obtained significant success in team sports, with the assistance of team coach and Atatürk University faculty member Lecturer Hamit Kavurmacı.

 The Men's Basketball Tournament, which was conducted as part of the Inter-Faculty and Inter-Academy Sports Festival from April 21 to May 2, 2025, was a source of great excitement, despite the fact that intra-university sports activities are still in full swing. After a tense competition between 13 teams, the Faculty of Medicine emerged as the victorious team, followed by the Faculty of Letters and the Faculty of Science.

 Rector Hacımüftüoğlu: "Our sporting accomplishments are a direct consequence of the significance we assign to sports."

 Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, conducted an evaluation of the subject and reported that the institution is distinguished by its academic accomplishments and its involvement in athletics. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu stated, "Our athletic accomplishments are an outcome of the disciplined work of our students, the commitment of our faculty members, and the significance we place on sports as an institution." We are committed to enhancing our sports infrastructure on a daily basis to facilitate the social, mental, and physical growth of our youth. Our university pursues a comprehensive approach to preparing its students for the future, which encompasses not only science but also the arts, culture, and athletics. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of our students who have achieved success both individually and as a team, as well as to our instructors who have made significant contributions.
