TEKNOFEST, in which Atatürk University is also a stakeholder, opened its doors to its visitors.

Organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, was launched at Samsun Çarşamba Airport.

Many units will take place at the University stand

At the Atatürk University stand, whose motto this year was created by the Eastern Anatolia Observatory (DAG) within the body of the Astrophysics Application and Research Center (ATASAM), ATA Teknokent, Corporate Communications Directorate and student clubs that will exhibit the technological products they have developed are taking place. One of the most striking places in the festival area, where ministries, public institutions, universities, military and official security units and many stands were opened, was the Atatürk University stand. The guests who wanted to observe the sky with a telescope showed great interest in the University stand. Informing the visitors about DAG, which is the biggest project of Turkey in the field of basic sciences in recent years and which will be the observatory with the most advanced telescope in Turkey when completed, the stand attendents invited the visitors to the opening of the observatory, the construction of which will be completed soon. Atatürk University, which offers its visitors the opportunity to experience technology in addition to sharing information, takes its guests on a journey in the virtual universe with virtual reality glasses, the latest product of technology.

Bayraktar: “I commemorate our heroes who gave their lives for their country with gratitude”

TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar, in his speech at the opening of TEKNOFEST Black Sea held at Samsun Çarşamba Airport, pointed out that today is an important historical day. Stating that it is the 100th anniversary of the Great Victory, Bayraktar said: "100 years ago today, the glorious Turkish nation, who did not accept to live under occupation and yoke, saved our country from the enemies by following the fire of independence burning in Samsun. On this occasion I once again commemorate with mercy and gratitude their friends, every member of our nation who gave their lives for the country, and all our martyrs and veterans who passed away. Happy 100th anniversary of our 30 August Victory Day."

"There Is no losing on the road to this blessed destination"

Emphasizing that it is never possible for those who cannot bring innovation and reform in science, culture, art, technology, to reach the target, Bayraktar stated that there will be those who work to close the paths they have walked in the past and today, as well as in the future, with stones of lies, slander and intrigue.

"We will fight together against these people. Those who try to scare us by waving an embargo stick, who try to set up gallows to prevent national technologies, will never win as long as we fight on our way and lead the way ourselves. We will march for a Turkey with determination and effort. As we walk, the sun will rise in its warmest and brightest form to our beautiful homeland, brotherly Azerbaijan and all geographies where the oppressed live. Never be disappointed. There is no losing on the way to this blessed goal. I know that the light of sun-faced children cannot be plastered with mud. Here is hope, here is the goal, here is the direction, a Red Apple where all humanity lives in dignity, peace and tranquility.” Bayraktar added.

Rector Çomaklı: “We have mobilized all our resources for our future generations”

Making an evaluation about the festival, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, on the other hand, made the following remarks: "As a stakeholder we are very happy to participate in and contribute to such an important event, which is Turkey's technology move. We are a university that integrates with the society. For this reason, we exist in every field we can reach, touch and convey science. One of our biggest goals is to reach different institutions and people from all walks of society with our ideas, designs, projects and products at TEKNOFEST 2022, o fwhich we are a partner. We always prioritize sharing what we have with the society. TEKNOFEST is a very important organization to instill curiosity, belief, determination and self-confidence in increasing and growing our domestic and national technology moves as a country and to keep these virtues alive. These events show that we can now stand on our own feet and be self-sufficient. In the coming years, our country will make a name for itself even more because of the technological products and scientific studies it has produced. Today, we have full faith in our children and youth, who will make their dreams come true tomorrow, thanks to TEKNOFEST. Our duty is to pave the way for them and always support them. As Atatürk University, we have mobilized all our resources for our future generations. With these thoughts in mind, I wish TEKNOFEST to be productive and prosperous, and I invite all guests to visit our university stand.”

Within the scope of the festival, which will host its guests until September 4, various shows, technology competitions and concerts will be held.
