ATATURK UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF MEDICINE GRADUATES CAME TOGETHER AFTER 40 YEARS

Since 1962, the Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine has produced thousands of graduates who have made significant contributions to the field of medicine. Additionally, the faculty continues to organise a variety of events to preserve the university's institutional memory.

In this context, the 1984 graduates were able to reunite after 40 years and reflect on the past. Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, who graduated in 1984, and Atatürk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Yılmaz, Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Fatih Albayrak, Research Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Erkut, and 40th-year graduates attended the meeting held in the Atatürk University Research Hospital Conference Hall. Dr. Erkut is the Chief Physician of the Research Hospital.

"We Are Proud to Be Under the Same Roof Again After 40 Years"

Prof. Dr. Leyla Sağlam, a faculty member of the Faculty of Medicine, conveyed her joy at the opportunity to reunite with her old acquaintances in the same location after 40 years in her speech on behalf of the 1984 graduates. Sağlam underscored that they pursued distinct career paths following their graduation, but their friendship endured. She expressed gratitude to Atatürk University President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Fatih Albayrak, and Research Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Erkut for organising this meeting. In addition, he delivered an emotional message and commemorated his four companions who were lost with mercy.

"Atatürk University Graduates Take on Tasks in Different Areas of Our Country"

Prof. Dr. Hasan Yılmaz, Vice Rector of Atatürk University, delivered a remark regarding the significance and significance of the occasion. Yılmaz cited the university's profound history, stating that physicians who have graduated from the institution hold significant roles in our nation and enhance the university's visibility. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz expressed his appreciation to Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar for fostering collaboration between the two universities. He also emphasised the significance of graduate physicians in bolstering the institutional identity of the university and thanked all attendees for their contributions to the successful execution of this significant event.

The program continued with a variety of activities.

A video screening and plaque presentation were conducted subsequent to the remarks that were delivered regarding the significance of the day within the context of the meeting. In order to conclude the inaugural day of the program, the graduates also visited the Atatürk University Biodiversity Science Museum and the Ata Ice Museum. The attendees concluded their 40th anniversary meeting by touring the historical and natural wonders of Erzurum on the second day of the program.
